International House (I. House) is a student and community centre at UBC. If you want to meet people, share your culture, and learn about the world, I. House is a great place to start. You can come to I. House for:

  • International Student Advising and the International Peer Program
  • Explore Canada/Explore the World workshops, ESL classes, and International Language Circles where you can learn a new language from friends
  • Student mobility programs to study, work, and volunteer abroad
  • Dinner with friends and a weekly vegetarian lunch
  • Yoga and qigong classes
  • International Week and the annual multicultural celebration, Festiva

I. House is a place where everyone is welcome to drop in and get involved in whatever way they feel comfortable. It is surrounded by a peaceful garden and offers two lounges, a reading corner, piano, big screen TV, and table tennis. Bring your laptop and enjoy our wireless Internet access.

In addition, Go Global: International Learning Programs is located at I. House. If you are an exchange student, Go Global will be able to answer most of your questions.
